Meteor is either the worst spy ever or the Kamen Rider Club is like the most oblivious team ever.





I kind of want to argue that YOU DON'T ACTUALLY PUNCH LIKE THAT IN WING CHUN/JEET KUN DO but I do want to see the stunt team work with Meteor's actor to make his Chinese-style fighting look more legit. Meteor does a lot of out of suit fighting, which is something I like to see in my children's superhero shows. Also he's a melee type rider which happen to be among my favorites YEAAAHHHH




Meteor's like "I AM NOT OVERLY EMOTIONAL IT'S NOT THAT I ACTUALLY HAVE FEELINGS OR ANYTHING" and Gentaro's like "dude we are going to be besties for life" and Meteor's like "FRIENDS ARE DUMB STOP MAKING ME WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND"

One non-squealing fangirly sidenote: I really do like how they shot the fight scenes in both of these episodes. For some reason it seemed above the usual "Shot of rider hitting monster from the front, overhead shot of continuing attack, showing monster firing lasers and blasting our hero off his feet from the front again".

I also want to see Ryusei/Meteor dress like 70s megastar Bruce Lee, meaning THIS. Or Bruce Lee's swank suits. He already wears this outfit.

It could work! He has a 70s disco ball transformation sequence!

Going to be tabling at Anime on Display AND Fanime this year. Since AoD was literally a shotgun signup for me (I was replacing someone and am essentially racing against AoD's registration deadlines) , I just decided to hell with dealing with temp permit applications. I finally got a regular seller's permit, which means that the next time this happens I can just roll right on up.

My next post is going to be incoherent babble about KR Fourze.
